“Something is very exciting about playing to an audience, playing to a crowd. And that feeling of being united. The show the other day, the Royal Festival Hall thing, i was literally sitting as part of the audience, you know, watching people play. What we also wanted to do was take away the line that people seem to have in their heads that musicians, they’re different people. In the ground scheme of things, we matter to that group of people a little bit, but they have their whole other lives… But to us, they matter to us a huge deal. And i think people, you know, those in the audience should know that, you know, they are us.”
